El Sonsonateco is an adorable restaurant with great service and amazing food!!! The pupusas are so delicious here, you can really taste the quality. We ordered for a Mother's Day gathering and everyone loved the food. We got cheese, revuelta, and beans and cheese pupusas.

I've had my fair share of pupusas in LA and these are the best I've ever had-- hands down. I used to come almost every week but after moving a little farther away, I didn't get a chance to go often. Decided to try some of the pupuserias closer to my new apt and there's some pretty decent places, but nothing like these. My favorites are the bean and cheese with rice flour. The pupusas are pretty big and the curtido and tomato sauce are so good. The curtido here also has a bit of a kick to it, so if you like spicyness, you'll enjoy these pupusas. I went to El Salvador a few months ago and had pupusas for days and although they were also good, I knew the best were in LA.

I'm getting off the freeway and starting to get hungry so I set the restaurant finding radar to Central American. I've hardly finished pressing buttons and turning dials when it directs me to this place. Tiny hole in the wall, check. Good food, check. Pleasant service, check. Cute waitress, yikes, extra points for that. I just love that radar!
